Production Artist

• Preparation of complex marketing and packaging materials and other printed media employing sound judgment to layout and arrange graphics in a creative, informative, and efficient manner. 
• Marketing material development including but not limited to product packaging,  flyers, brochures, user instruction manuals, sell sheets, advertisements, tradeshow booth graphics, and inserts.
• Assist with photo shoots.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Operations, and Quality / Regulatory staff to meet promotional and regulatory specifications.
• Production / traffic responsibilities for all graphic design services.
• Coordinate routing and approval of projects with internal departments.
• Collect and manage files, images, fonts for output.
• Manage production by serving as the primary point of contact with outside vendors for marketing materials. Work closely with operations and approved operations vendors on packaging and labeling.
• Source new vendors as needed.
• Secure bids from multiple vendors to ensure competitive quotes.
• Maintain graphic project files in a clear and orderly fashion.
• Provide Quality / Regulatory department with final artwork for archival purposes.

·        2+ years related experience in production, design, or graphics; medical product experience preferred.

·        2 or 4 year degree in communication, graphic design, art, marketing, or related field.

·        Ability to create line art and drawings; creative free-hand illustration skills highly preferred.  Web Design experience also highly preferred.

·        Knowledge and experience with advanced features of software publishing applications including In-design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Word, and PowerPoint.

·        Excellent knowledge in troubleshooting hardware and software for Mac computers.

·        Outstanding organization and time management skills, and the ability to work additional hours as required, particularly during preparation for key presentations, product launches, or to meet immediate sales-tool needs.

·        Outstanding proofing and editing skills.

·        Clear communicator, able to take direction from and coordinate with a number of different sources.

·        Established portfolio of creative work.
