Position Objectives
The City of Raymore, Missouri is accepting applications for full-time police officers. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, a valid operator’s license and no criminal, domestic violence or alcohol related convictions. Preference will be given if Missouri POST certified or certifiable in the State of Missouri.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Police Officer:
Officers work under the general supervision of a Patrol Sergeant and patrol City streets, parks, commercial and residential areas to preserve the peace, enforce the law, control vehicular traffic, prevent or detect and investigate misconduct involving misdemeanors, felonies and other law violations and to otherwise serve and protect the citizens of Raymore.
Applications need to be received at City Officers by 5:00pm, November 27, 2009.

Requirements
- Minimum Requirements of the Police Officer:
Residency within a 35-mile radius of the city, or willingness to relocate to the area.
- The ability to learn and interpret laws, ordinances and regulations of the City and State.
- The ability to learn the geography of the City.
- A vigorous background investigation
- written exam
- oral board
- polygraph test or equivalent
- post offer drug screen
- physical/psychological examination will be conducted.
