MANAGER OF MANUFACTURING

GEA Processing Engineering Inc. is an international full-service company, offering engineering, design, manufacturing, integration and installation of process equipment such as spray dryers & coolers, fluid bed processors, agglomerators, powder packaging and handling systems, membrane filtration plants, evaporation and distillation systems, and similar equipment to the food, dairy, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. 

Our custom fabrication workshop, a 55,000 square foot facility with approximately 70 individuals, is a leading supplier of stainless steel custom fabrication services for the industries we serve.
 

We are seeking a MANAGER OF MANUFACTURING to lead our custom fabrication workshop. 

You will be responsible for the overall management, direction, and coordination of all manufacturing activities.

This includes carrying out production objectives at the budgeted hours/cost, while meeting quality control standards, all in a safe working environment.

You will also be responsible for planning, inventory control, field installation, and shipping and receiving.

Requirements

Qualifications for position are:

  • A minimum of 10 years of Management experience in a metal fabrication environment, with specialized training in production and inventory control systems
  • Must be able to read blueprints
  • Must have knowledge of and be able to provide support for issues/questions regarding interpretation, application, and intent of US Codes and Standards governing welding and inspection activities (ASME, ASNT, AWS, ANSI, NBIC, API, and other US Codes and Standards, as well as specific customer specifications)
  • Must also have solid understanding of USDA Standards and 3-A Sanitary Standards
  • AWS, CWI, or CWE certification preferred
  • Hands on experience working with production scheduling systems
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must possess good English language communication skills both verbal and written
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and work well in a team setting as well as independently
  • Must have working knowledge of MS Office products
  • Knowledge of Lotus Notes is desirable
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, or Bachelor of Science in Welding Engineering or Welding Engineering Technology  or appropriate degree as it relates to metal fabrication
