Description

IT Support

Responsibilities will include desktop, network device, some server support, and assigned projects. Candidates should possess at least an AS or BS Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalency in education and experience.  Candidate is also responsible for the day-to-day technical support to end users and resolving onsite desktop issues, at both workstation and server level.  Assist with MS Server 2003 Administration.  Order hardware and software products, install software products onto network, manage user accounts and ordering of computer equipment, perform printer installations and troubleshoot computer issues.  Create best practice documents and procedures. Mobile device and laptop support.  Must be able to work well within a team environment, have great communication skills.  Maintain network hardware and software, occasional nights or weekends required.  Reports to Director of Operations. 

  

 

Requirements

Experience with the following a plus:
PC desktop troubleshooting, including Microsoft Windows XP, Office 2003, and Outlook
Microsoft Active Directory, Windows user accounts and Exchange mailboxes
Microsoft Windows Server 2003
Microsoft Exchange Server 2003
Microsoft Terminal Server

Microsoft Email Archive Server (C to C exchange)
Good understanding of networking fundamentals including Ethernet, IP addressing, wireless networks, DHCP, and DNS.

Backup solutions (Symantec BackupExec a plus)
VPN (Postini a plus)
Understand routing & switching
Batch scripting knowledge a plus
SQL knowledge a plus
