Summary - Counter Sales Person
We are currently seeking: Counter Sales Person – Miami Location
Responsibilities - Counter Sales Person:
To provide assistance with new and existing customers/clients face to face over the counter and over the phone with regards to product sales, queries and quotes.
- Assist all customers in the store by taking their orders, pulling the orders and billing them out on the computer.
- Assist customers in loading material into their vehicle when necessary.
- Answer all incoming phone calls and assist customers with orders.
- Restock shelves with merchandise on a daily basis and rotate inventory by date.
- Pull and stage transfers between Tropic branches.
- Receive and stock incoming freight from the Tropic line truck, as well as, direct shipments from manufacturers.
- Load and unload trucks. This includes both common carriers and Tropic Supply trucks and vans.
- Restock product in warehouse and showroom on a daily basis.
- Responsible for preparing and being familiar with outgoing shipments as assigned by the manager. Prepare proper packing procedures, labeling of packages and preparatory paperwork required to ensure most economical and timely mode of transportation of material.
- Assist in inventory control including; stock rotation, merchandising of displays in showroom, inventory counting and verification of accurate equipment and parts that are billed and given to customer.
- Follow up on orders when required. Notify manager if necessary.
- Maintain store appearance. This includes, sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, clean and dust counters and displays, empty garbage pails and clean personal work station.
- General light maintenance of the showroom area; coffee counter, ice machine, water fountain and coke machine, customer phones, floor displays and counter.
- Update literature and price sheets on a regular basis.
- Continuous demonstration of product knowledge of Tropic Supply materials.
- Assist in the annual inventory for the warehouse.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by company/management..
