Our client, a large area employer, is seeking to add a contract Buyer to their team. We are looking for experienced professionals with a background in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or Purchasing to fulfill this long-term contract need. This is a long-term contract position anticipated to last 6 months to 1 year at the pay rate of $20 - $22 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities: the procurement of non-production/MRO items for manufacturing facility in support of new production initiative. Includes the procurement of capital and equipment items required for production. Obtain quote proposals, analyze the quotations, conduct negotiations, participate in cross-functional team meetings as required and recommend final sourcing decisions. This role will also source outside services for the program. In addition, this position will have key communication with management on a national level. Will assist in supplier invoicing issues for resolution if required. Travel will be as required.

Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Materials or related field.

3 - 5 years experience in procurement or supply chain management, OEM or Tier 1 experience preferred.

Must have strong analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.

Requires strong computer skills including working knowledge of SAP.
