Construction Recruiters of America is searching for a CONSTRUCTION MANAGER - ESTIMATOR  in the Mid-South, North East, and Mid-West.   Must have at least 5 to 10  years of experience. This Project Manager/Estimator must have a  diverse background within Hospital Construction .  This position will work closely with Vendors, Subcontractors, and Accounting.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a requirement of this position as well as meticulous attention to detail.

He will coordinate field operations for specific areas and/or specific self-performed and subcontracted trades on a project, ensure that construction work is completed according to a project’s planned sequence and schedule, and implement and enforce pertinent safety and quality control procedures. They also are the point-people in charge of the business aspects of our construction projects. This involves supervising contract activities, communicating with the owner and architect, and managing finance, procurement, budgeting, and schedule for the project.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned).


 
  • Review proposal specifications and drawings and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. 
  • Prepare estimates by calculating various statistical data such as quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man-hour and equipment costs and applying to complete scope of work.
  • Review/research historical data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc.) and compile summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates.
  • Incorporate historical data into unit and man-hour figures.
  • Participate in developing bid package estimate documents.
  • Maintain files of working documents for back-up to estimating figures including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.
  • Create, send and manage subcontractor requests for proposal.
  • May review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality or availability of materials. - Follow awarded contracts as assigned
  • May include estimating extra work items, change orders
 
Requirements

All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for consideration:

 

  • MUST HAVE MINIMUM 10 YRS. TENURE AT LAST JOB!!!!!!

  • 5 to 10 yrs. experience as Project Manager , Estimator
  • Degree in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management  or 10 to 20 years of experience
  • Strong oral & written communication skills
  • Exhibit exceptional professional judgment
  • Be able to multi-task & prioritize with out significant direct supervision
