Job Description 

Job Responsibilities/Functions:

Sales and Customer Service: Greets customers entering the showroom in a timely and professional manner. Informs customers of the benefits of purchasing from City Furniture. Determines customer needs. Presents and demonstrates products that fit the needs of the customer. Handles questions and objections. Achieves sales, profitability and customer service goals.

Follow up: Calls all customers after the pickup or delivery of merchandise. Calls all logged customers who do not purchase.

Prospecting: Contacts customers who do not buy regarding special promotions, new or additional products that fit their needs, and any other opportunities to book future appointments.

Customer Service: Reviews all documents for completeness and accuracy. Reviews all sales that are scheduled for pick up or delivery to ensure accurate completion of the process. Reviews all sales for back ordered items so that customers receive all products as soon as possible. Handles customer calls regarding finance purchases.

Telephones: Answers all incoming calls as soon as possible. Provides customers with the information they request. Informs customers of our products and services. Encourages customers to visit our showrooms or apply for credit by phone. Reviews general and finance voice mail boxes regularly and returns calls. Reviews personal voice mail box regularly and returns calls properly.

Financial Resources:Accurately process credit applications and the associated documents. Understands current finance promotions and accurately communicates them to customers. Follows loss control procedures in order to minimize showroom losses and customer inconvenience.

Physical Resources: Completes showroom opening and closing merchandising responsibilities. Participates in showroom maintenance and merchandising.

Human Resources:Works closely with other associates to help maximize sales and customer service. Mentors new sales associates.

Associate Development: Educates self on all company products, services and procedures. Remains aware of all competitive products, prices, finance offers and services.
 


Job Requirements 

Requirements:
  • PC Proficient Strong Interpersonal skills
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Previous Sales or Customer Service
    experience
  • Qualifications Preferred:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Other:

  • Flexible schedule (evenings & weekends required)
  • Must meet physical demands of position, including standing and walking for long
    periods.
