Job Description 

 That's Good HR is a locally owned and operated professional staffing company and we are currently seeking qualified applicants for one of our Camel, Indiana medical facilities customers. 

 

The Medical Coding specialist position will have the following job responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct retrospective analysis of MedAssests CCA.net reports to identify missed charges, coding or compliance issues.
  • Research charge capture practice
  • Identify specific charges to be entered for specific date(s) of service and enter charges on spreadsheet
  • Work with Revenue Capture Analyst team lead to analyze appropriateness of CCA.net rule and make recommendations as appropriate
 


Job Requirements 

 
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Access, Medical record document imaging (e.g. Sovera) and hospital patient accounting systems (e.g. Siemens Invision, Soarian or MedSeries4)
  • Nursing, LPN or RN WITH coding certificate OR Health Information Management/Coding experience WITH RHIA, RHIT, CPC or CCS OR Charge description master consultant experience required
  • Monday-Friday, 8 hour workdays required with ability to work flexible hours if needed.
