Description We are looking for a Vice President of Human Resources who will serve as a business partner, providing strategic and hands-on operational human resources leadership. This position is a highly visible, key human resources leadership role within our organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead human resources business initiatives that drive business goals and accelerate business results. Translate strategic and tactical business plans into practical and effective human resource plans. Support and enable the organization by providing expertise on all HR aspects of the business. Partner with senior management team to ensure that human resource programs, goals, and priorities are aligned with business needs.
  • Provide leadership in the creation of a winning culture and driving employee engagement
  • Build, enhance and direct the management of all human resources practices including talent acquisition, retention and development, employee relations, performance management, human resources planning and organizational development, employee communication, compensation, benefits and training.
  • Partner with functional leaders to develop proactive strategies for recruiting and retaining top caliber employees. Advise on best practices to achieve optimum results while maintaining compliance with Federal and Regulatory employment requirements.
  • Manage full life cycle recruiting and direct recruitment activities including advertising and screening.
  • Manage performance evaluation system and process in pursuit of a culture of accountability and results-orientation, linking organizational and employee performance.
  • Develop overall learning strategy based upon strategic business imperatives and ensure effective delivery of training programs as necessary and in concert with organizational objectives.
  • Partner with Compensation and Benefits function to develop and implement progressive and competitive pay and benefit programs and policies which provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective employee performance.
  • Direct benefits activity: Lead open enrollment meetings; act as resource for employee issues, escalating as necessary; assist with leave of absence administration (FMLA).
  • Manage workers compensation and unemployment claims in a timely basis. Perform research and supply proper documentation to support claims.
  • Conduct new employee orientation, ensuring submission of completed paperwork.
  • Direct and guide termination process, collect company assets, manage exit interview process.
  • Participate in senior management meetings and attend other departmental meetings as necessary.
  • Work with HRIS Manager to ensure data integrity and reporting needs are addressed.
  • Ensure compliance with labor law requirements, postings, compliance logs, etc.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Organizational Development, or other related discipline required. Advanced degree a plus.
  • 7+ years of broad and progressive HR leadership in an organization that valued best practice approach in HR.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and influencing skills. Ability to effectively address all levels within the organization.
  • Strategic leader with high energy and drive for results.
  • Demonstrated competence in thought leadership; thinking strategically, analytically, conceptually and innovatively.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to Human Resources, including broad based knowledge of nation-wide employment Laws with international experience preferred.
