Description

 Penn Tank Lines, Inc. is a transportation company with operations in the eastern half of the United States. In business for over 30 years, Penn Tank Lines has become an industry leader in both bulk and flatbed hauling operations.  Headquartered in Chester Springs, PA, this position would report directly to the Director of Sales for the company and interact with all facets of the business model.

 

Our Regional Sales Manager is charged with the development and relationship management of our future and current customer base in the Alabama, Tennessee & Georgia markets.  Most travel for the position would be within this geography and therefore living within this three state region is necessary.

 

This position requires a capable multitasking leader with a proven track record in the petroleum hauling industry.    Operational experience within the industry is also a plus.

 

The candidate must display the ability to work with our external & internal customers (our drivers) . The position requires the integration of negotiation skills, analysis of problems and the ability to understand, translate and communicate the company goals into appropriate actions.

Requirements

Petroleum industry experience is a neccessity (preferably within the given geography)

 

This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Computer literacy and the ability to function in an electronic communication environment are essential.

A working knowledge of contract and regulatory compliance 

 

A commitment to comply with and support safety standards, as well as, all regulatory and company policies and procedures.

 

Extensive experience with rate tables, industry bid packages, and industry profit & loss statements


 

Travel is a must with most travel conducted via automobile


 

A work history displaying success in sales leads as well as bid awards

 

Salary to be determined commensurate to experience and ability.
