Description

This person MUST have at least 5 years experience working as a Contract Administrator in a commercial construction environment. This candidate MUST have extensive experience with Excel, preferred additional experience in Timberline based accounting software, Microsoft Project, Expedition, Suretrak or other project scheduling and document processing and tracking. This candidate must have a strong knowledge of, reading, analyzing and understanding of construction contracts.

 

This candidate needs to have experience with the following and will be issuing Pre-lien notices, ordering required certificates of insurance, preparing Owner contracts, preparing subcontracts, preparing owner and subcontractor change orders, preparing material submittals and updating budget sheets, preparing monthly billings, voucher control billings as required by projects, code/process subcontractor/supplier invoices for payment, ensuring that project job cost reports are correct, maintain project electronic and paper files, and prepare project close-out manuals.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5 years minimum experience working as a Contract Administrator in the construction industry
  • Strong understanding, reading and analyzing of contracts is MANDATORY! 
  • Keen Administrative talents
  • Problem solver; able to think logically; able to analyze many parts of a complex problem at the same time
  • Ability to plan and solve problems with effective solutions
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as computer proficiency including MS Office Suite.  Must be able to document job progress clearly.
  • Estimating experience helpful.
  • Strong Detail Orientation
