job description: A mid-sized Orlando based Construction Management firm specializing in design build and construction management at risk is seeking an experienced Project Manager. The Project Manager must have a firm understanding of COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION processes and procedures. This individual will maintain a close working relationship with the Owner and Architect as well as the Company Team. Must be results driven and a solid leader with ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively and efficiently in a multi-project construction environment. YOUR RESUME WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED IF YOU DO NOT CURRENTLY RESIDE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA OR HAVE RECENT EXPERIENCE AS A COMMERICAL GENERAL CONTRACTOR.
- Develops and communicates action plans that will lead the Project Team throughout the project beginning with the initial plan and project schedule
- Organizes the utilization of project control tools such as Suretrack and Contract Manager
- Review and manage all submittals and RFIs
- Coordinates job cost reviews and budget reconciliations
- Prepares change orders and manages project cost controls
- Closely monitors Owner’s billings and SOVs to ensure timely processing and completion of monthly deadlines
- Coordination and management of subcontractors
- Ensures the adherence to the company’s safety and quality control programs
- Facilitates and maintains communications with the client in addition to providing monthly/weekly/daily reports
- Achieves the client’s objectives by successfully managing the client’s project, goals and objectives as it relates to the specific project
- Ensures the framework for project team processes and record keeping of electronic and tangible documents are current and maintained on a timely basis
- Works closely with the Support Team in building the Owner Closeout documents in a dynamic process from the commencement of the project until project completion
Requirements
- Dynamic and assertive personality with strong management/leadership and team building skills
- Minimum of 10+ years in the commercial construction field, preferably with an owner and/or commercial construction firm
- Excellent communication skills and problem solving skills
- The ability to solve complex problems as well as practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision
- Ability to organize workload for effective implementation
- The ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Effective time management skills
- Must be action oriented, have a sharp business acumen and posses integrity
- Proficiency in the use of project management systems
- Expert knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations
