Description
We have an immediate opening for a local broker looking for an Employee Benefits Account Executive. The position encompasses all areas of managing an assigned book of group health clients in addition to cross selling and retention goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing expertise and consultation on plan design along with review and negotiating carrier and vendor contracts.
- Conducting open enrollments and preparing client communications.
- Responsible for educating and consulting clients on various group health/life, flexible spending and cafeteria plans.
- Assist clients with resolution of eligibility, billing and claim issues.
- Provide some compliance and legislation assistance.
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 5 years related insurance experience
- Michigan Life and Health License preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively through written or oral communications
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills
- Proficient with Excel
