Celebrate Caring at Harford Gardens Care and Rehabilitation Center, an affiliated center of SunBridge Healthcare.  We are a leader in rehabilitation and long term care that is seeking an Activity Director, TRS for our 151-bed center located in  Baltimore, MD.   3-5 years of previous experience preferred.

The director will be over the entire activities program and be willing to work with a diverse population of residents.  The ideal candidate will be very resident centered and understands what it truly means to be an activity director.  

Responsibilities include:
* Select, assigns and supervise activities meeting needs of residents by evaluating residents activity needs, developing individualized activity plans, and assisting with quarterly reassessments or with change of condition
* Maintain written record of initial assessment and progress notes.
* Recruit, train and supervise employees and volunteers who will assist in Activity Programs
*Participate in care planning, interdisciplinary team, meetings and staff meetings and communicate with department heads regarding any changes in resident needs
* Maintain and evaluate current information on both the resident’s interests and ability to participate in program
* Ensure a well-balanced schedule of activities utilizing program standards
* Plan and schedule evening, weekend and holiday programs to be delivered by Activities Assistant and C.N.A.’s, as needed
* Document and maintain participation/attendance records, as required
* Coordinate, conduct and deliver daily planned activities, as scheduled

* Must have Bachelor's degree in therapeutic recreation.
* Prior Long Term Care experience.
* Licensed or registered by the state and certified as an Activities professional minimum.

* Previous experience in a social or recreational program in a health care setting.
* Experience in the development and execution of programs and activities.
* Able to work as part of a team
* Planning and organizational skills
