Human Resources Manager

Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) seeks an experienced HR Professional with a generalist skill set emphasizing employee relations, benefits and compensation, performance management, recruiting and training. You’ll gain experience with an international employee population as we build best practices across the enterprise.  

MBN is an international multi-media broadcasting corporation broadcasting television and FM /AM radio news and information in Arabic to the 22+ Arabic speaking countries of the Middle East and North Africa as well as to Arabic speakers across Europe.

The Human Resources Manager will partner with assigned departments using a collaborative approach to provide support, perspective and recommendations across a wide range of human resource issues, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, immigration, change management, team development, and compensation administration. The Human Resources Manager is a valuable and collaborative member of the HR team.  This is a hands-on role. 

Key responsibilities include:

·         Act as internal consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to human resources issues relating to assigned department and/or programs.

·         Ensure assigned departments/programs are in compliance with established policies and procedures.

·         Full life-cycle recruiting for assigned departments.

·         Provide guidance to employees and managers on company policy, and general employment issues both tactical and strategic; investigate and advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.

·         Coach, counsel and guide managers in regards to employee relations issues.

·         Partners with department leaders in terminations, promotions, and performance review.

·         Provide day-to-day support to assigned departments.

·         Distribute, monitor and ensure employee Performance Appraisals are done in a timely manner.

·         Regularly assess the training and develop needs of assigned department(s) staff and coordinate and/or deliver the necessary training to address the needs.

·         Prepare management reports for purposes including headcount, staffing, salary planning, etc.

·         Ensure applicable tracking, compliance and reporting of HR related issues as required by applicable federal and state laws and MBN policies.

·         Assist HR Director in the coordination and support of key processes, including salary and budget planning, compensation, performance feedback, employee communications, succession planning and employee development.

·         Take lead in process improvements within the department to enhance delivery of services.

·         Maintain tracking systems to reflect current status of open issues.

 

 

Requirements

We are seeking dynamic candidates with the following qualifications:

·         Bachelor degree; 4+ years recent generalist experience

·         Solid experience investigating and resolving employee relations issues; current knowledge of applicable labor laws

·         Fluency in Classical Arabic preferred

·         Pro-active approach to role; confident and credible

·         Interpersonal and verbal communication skills to be able to provide advice and counsel to management, employees

·         Organizational ability to manage and direct multiple priorities and programs within a tight timeframe. Must be able to adapt easily in a developing environment.

·         Advanced proficiency in Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.

·         Current PHR or SPHR certification preferred

·         Experience in a multi-cultural, international workplace is a plus.
