Job Description 

Bethesda Lutheran Communities, a Christ-centered non-profit agency, seeks to hire individuals who truly care about people and want to make a difference in someone’s life. We are seeking a Registered Nurse to work with program managers and other agency staff to support the medical needs of adults with developmental and related disabilities in order to help them maintain and achieve healthy and full lives as they grow in independence and strength in their walk with Christ. 

LVN duties include:

  •  Provides nursing services in compliance with federal, state and local regulations, including providing the required Medicaid waiver and Home and Community-Based services in compliance with the Consumer Principles for Evidentiary Certification. 
  • Maintains required medical records per established policies and procedures. ·        Orders new prescriptions and faxes refills.
  • Informs appropriate persons of changes in clients' health status.
  • Coordinates all ICF medical appointments.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of all priviledged information regarding clients.
  • Administers evening doses of medication to our individuals in ICF Group homes
 


Job Requirements 

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or eqivalent and a current, valid State of Texas Vocational Nursing License; current CPR/First Aid certificate
• 18 years old
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive
• Pass a criminal history check
• Maintain confidentiality, problem-solve and be a team player
• Positive attitude

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to assist with two-person lifts and do frequent lifting and bending.
  • Must be able to assist with the transfer of clients/people served.
