Description Works on healthcare cost analytics, in collaboration with medical management and finance subject matter experts, to arrive at measures to support strategic iInitiatives for the evolution of next generation services and process improvement in quality and cost containment goals. Will work with key opinion leaders, understand the healthcare literature, and support related analytics in the field of healthcare economics; especially in relation to Hospital and Rx utilization trends, outlier intelligence, and general cost pattern assessment; using analytical tools, such as Excel, SAS and SQL.

Requirements QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Required: BS/BA Degree in Healthcare Management, Statistics, Finance, or related business field

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

-- MANAGED HEALTHCARE BACKGROUND;
-- Minimum 2-3 years experience collecting, analyzing and presenting data and recommendations to management;
-- Advanced knowledge and experience using PC software, including automated database management systems / data manipulation / analytic tools, such as Excel, SQL, SAS
-- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

-- Healthcare data audit, reporting, process improvement, workflow, and benchmarking experience;
-- Experience in predictive statistics and hospital / Rx rate, cost and utilization analysis
