Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager will provide the focus and leadership necessary to develop and execute strategies and drive improvement in supply chain planning and execution in order to optimize inventory levels and reduce overall costs.


Serves as a key member of the management team to lead and coordinate efforts related to achieving supply chain process excellence

Supports the organization by utilizing fair yet aggressive purchasing and logistics techniques

Leads the purchasing department by providing an empowered and continuous improvement environment

Helps plan, implement and administer programs designed to track and measure quality of supplier performance

Identifies, initiates and drives supply chain optimization projects to improve performance measures

Provides supply chain leadership for a multi-site environment to ensure expectations are met relative to delivery, quality, cost and inventory targets

Provides logistics-related analytical support for projects, new business opportunities, and proposals as needs arise

Takes responsibility for direct reports: hiring, training, coaching, counseling, performance management and directing their work 

Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a related field with 5 – 7 years of progressively increasing responsibilities

CPM or APICS certification

History of strong negotiation achievements

Proven team building and leadership skills

Strong organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated significant cost reduction initiatives

Experience in construction materials procurement or related field is preferred

Logistics experience with private fleet and/or truck load carriers is highly desired

Offshore buying experience preferred

Conflict resolution skills highly desired
