Summary:
Under general direction, oversees planning, development, coordination, implementation, and management of maintenance, repair, equipment, facilities, plant engineering, construction and infrastructure systems. Provides strategic planning and oversees capital construction projects. Plans for quality, durability, maintainability and cost compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
- Develops and manages annual operating and capitol budgets.
- Develops and executes weekly and monthly maintenance plans in conjunction with production scheduling.
- Ensures contractor code compliance by directing engineering project inspection programs; performs plan reviews in coordination with facilities planning; develops remedial action programs as appropriate.
- Develops and maintains a Facilities/Capital Equipment Preventive and Predictive Maintenance System in order to minimize downtime.
- Develops and implements systems to maintain records on employees, equipment inventories, and compliance activities.
- Provides safety training for employees and ensures departmental compliance with established safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Participates in development, implementation and maintenance of policies, objectives, short and long range planning; develops and implements projects and programs to assist with accomplishment of established goals
Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree required or at least 10 years of industrial/manufacturing experience that is directly related to teh duties and responsibilities specified. and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw vaclid conclusions. Must have the ability to communicate and "Team" effectively with fellow employees, subordinates and subcontractors in order to establish and reach common goals. Competency in Microsoft Office and management skills are required.
