Institutional Review Board Assistant – Boise ID

 

The St. Luke’s Health System, a not-for-profit organization, is the largest health care provider in the state of Idaho with a growing research division serving 5 medical centers, 5 cancer treatment centers, multiple health clinics and other affiliated and community entities.  Each award-winning St. Luke’s Health System hospital is nationally recognized for excellence in patient care.

 

The St. Luke’s Health System Office of Research Administration/IRB has an immediate opening for an Institutional Review Board Assistant (full time position) at our Boise, Idaho location.

 

Under the general supervision of the IRB Manager and in accord with established departmental policies, standards and procedures, the Institutional Review Board Assistant provides support for the day-to-day operations of the IRB, reviews protocols for completeness and categorizes each for type of review, generates agendas, attends committee meetings, takes minutes, produces required documentation, is involved in the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, procedures, standards and educational programs pertinent to the IRB.

 

Bachelor’s degree in health/biological/social sciences or related field, plus at least 2 years relevant experience in research and compliance; knowledge of federal regulations pertaining to the protection of human subjects in research (or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.)
