The Role


The National Sales Manager reports to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and is responsible for providing leadership and direction in the creation, establishment, implementation and achievement of sales strategies, oversight of operational budgets, and achievement of team business goals. The selected candidate will sell products and services directly to Fortune 500 clients and manage the East Coast sales team. They will be responsible for generating revenue through an established base of clients and developing new business through prospecting and cold calling.

    • Only individuals with previous sales management experience with online and print media experience will be considered.

       

Requirements
  • Demonstrated success in the role of a senior Sales professional; with proven experience leading a high performing sales team marketing print and online products.

  • Selected individuals must have previous knowledge of tactics used within the Public Relations, Advertising, Marketing, Publishing, Web Marketing and Social Media/Marketing fields.

  • Demonstrated success in establishing relationships with National Accounts, Public Relations and Advertising agencies, various professional associations and others in both print and online media.

  • Exceptional negotiation and persuasive skills, and the ability to overcome objections.

  • Ability to synthesize a variety of product offerings to develop client-focused solutions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, PR, Business or related field is required.
