Job Description 


Interstate Brands Corporation, home of Wonder Bread and Hostess Cake, is the largest wholesale baker and distributor of fresh delivered bread and snack cakes in the United States. The Company’s products are distributed throughout the United States, primarily through its direct route system.  Deliver fresh baked bread/cakes and build strong sales relationships with our accounts.  We offer a base pay, competitive commission plan, outstanding benefits package. 

Route Sales Representatives:

Sell and deliver product to established accounts

Minimize stale and wasted product

Maintain good relationships with account personnel including receivers, bakery and store managers

Promote sales through special displays, developing account relationships, use of promotional material

Safely drive and operate a route truck

Job Requirements 

All qualified candidates must:


·  Be at least 21 years of age


·  Have a valid driver's license and CLEAN driving record


·  Be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle


·  Have a HS Diploma or GED


·  Understand how to maintain and enhance customer relationships


·  Understand the concept of selling and have functional sales skills


·  Have good oral communication – follow verbal and written instructions


·  Understand and use a hand held computer


·  Ability to drive in congested traffic


·  Physically able to tolerate the demands of physical labor, making time stops and vigorous work pace.

All selected candidates will be required to pass a drug test, physical and an extensive background check. Route Sales start their day between 2:00am-5:00am. Five day workweek, days off are Wednesdays & Sundays.
