Full Time: 80 hours bi-weekly: Flexible scheduled. The Department of Advanced Practice Nursing is looking to add an experienced APN/Clinical Nurse Specialist to its Adult Critical Care team and staff. The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) consistently demonstrates superior clinical knowledge in his/her area of specialty. The CNS models and facilitates safe, effective, efficient, patient-centered care through a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach within his/her unit/division. The CNS will disseminate evidenced-based practice while functioning as a clinical resource, clinical mentor, quality improvement leader, change agent, and nurse researcher.

Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must have at least five years experience in Adult Critical Care clinical specialty, ability to read,write and communicate effectively in English.

Education: Master's of Nursing in Clinical Specialty required.

Certifications: Current state of Illinois RN, APN licensure BLS and APN certification is required at the time of hire. Certification as NRP, BLS, PALS, or ACLS instructor is preferred.
