Description One of the foremost public policy research organizations in the United States, MPR attracts clients from federal and state government agencies, foundations, universities, professional associations, and businesses. MPR's contributions to public policy formation crisscross the nation's social policy agenda from childcare to eldercare, from job training to retirement. Our projects use interdisciplinary teams composed of subject matter specialists, statisticians, data collectors, and systems analysts.

We are looking for a research SAS programmer to support research activities. This position involves providing programming, research, and project management support to social policy research projects.

Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of research SAS programming experience, including experience in using or managing Medicaid or Medicare administrative data or management information systems
- Experience designing and constructing large databases for research analysis
- Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team including researchers, analysts, and programmers
- Ability to write clear and concise technical memos, report sections, and system documentation
- Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work with others
- BA/BS in Economics, Statistics, Math, Operations Research, Computer Science or related discipline

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience programming in SAS or related languages in a social science or policy environment
- An advanced degree such as a master's degree in a social science or IT-related subject
