Description

My client is seeking a Director of Marketing for the Personal Computer, Display and Printer product lines.  The selected Director of Marketing will be responsible for two highly important key functions. The first and primary function is to develop and maintain updated business strategies for PC, Printer, and Display businesses to achieve continued growth and profitability and to manage the Integrated Marketing department which includes Marketing Communications (Advertising, PR, Major Events & Tradeshows, Market Sensing, Online and Sports Marketing). The second function for the Director of Marketing is Channel Marketing (Communication with channel partners including administration of the company's channel program - P3, spiff and MDF programs and management of Field Marketing team).

The ideal Director of Marketing (PC, Printer, Display) will have extensive experience in building MARCOM platforms in the B2B and B2C space. This requires a successful track record in progressive PR tactics, integrated advertising campaigns, exceptional channel and editor relationships, extensive agency experience (working with, etc.). Your resume must reflect demonstrated experience to be considered.

Responsibilities:

Strategy:

  • Continuously address relevant strategic questions related to each business unit
  • Manage the annual planning process in the second half of each year in coordination with finance team and all business units
  • Continuously evaluate opportunities within the Information Technology Division for process or organizational improvement
  • Communicate strategy clearly within all groups at the Information Technology Division, North America Headquarters, and GBM level
  • Deliver relevant and actionable strategies to improve revenue
  • Manage local MI process to deliver timely, insightful and actionable reporting
  • Manage Sales Strategy to ensure maximum ROI on sales investment
  • Develop and manage projects with outside consulting firms no more than twice a year

 


Integrated Marketing - Marketing Communications:

  • Prepare advertising & PR strategy, media plan, tradeshow plan etc and execute
  • Raising Brand awareness for IT Product and B2B Channel
  • Review performance and work with all business units continuously (weekly meetings with President, bi-weekly meeting with product team managers and monthly workshops
  • Manage PR Agency, Ad Agency, fulfillment house and tradeshow agency to get best service and deliver high level of performance
  • Summarize Marketing Communications expenditure and prepare for next quarter's / year's budget with Business Manager, Product Manager and Division Controller
  • Work with Product Managers to understand product, programs and provide right support from Marketing Communications perspective
  • Develop online strategy and execute including company websites, ecommerce and CRM

Integrated Marketing - Channel Marketing:

  • Consistent, compelling communication to channel partners about products, solutions and programs
  • Manage department budget and channel program effectively to maximize ROI (SPIF, MDF, VIR, GIR)
  • Manage Field Marketing team to maximize retail channel sell through
  • Deliver "Voice of Channel" to the organization
Requirements
  • BS or BA degree (MBA preferred)

  • 15 + years combined experience with Strategic Marketing and Integrated Marketing roles

  • 5 + years experience in a large personal computer/printer company including pc's displays, peripherals, software or storage

  • Extensive experience in building MARCOM platforms in the B2B and B2C space

  • Successful track record in progressive PR tactics, integrated advertising campaigns, exceptional channel and editor relationships, extensive agency experience (working with, etc.)

  • Proven track record of developing and executing effective, profit maximizing strategies

  • Demonstrated record of driving increased sales through IMC activities

  • Strong project management skills with proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and achieve objectives within budget and in a timely manner

  • Excellent team management experience managing teams up to 25 people

  • Proven experience managing department budgets in excess of $20M per year

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Microsoft Office Skills Required

  • SAP and BW (Business Warehouse) experience a plus
