Job Description

New Breed Logistics, headquartered in High Point, NC, is an innovative third-party logistics service provider (3PL) that helps companies design and operate efficient supply chains. We manage millions of square feet of warehouse space across more than 50 distribution centers in the U.S. and employ more than 6000 people. Services range from distribution center operations and transportation management to highly sophisticated and technology-focused solutions involving product assembly, vendor managed inventory, reverse logistics and repair.


Due to continued growth we are seeking a Replenishment Planner at our operations center in the High Point area to support our activities with the US Marine Corps.

 

Summary of Functions:

Responsible to oversee, monitor and ensure the overall Consolidated Storage Program (CSP) inventory position is in line with the established inventory position objectives in a multi-site environment.  This responsibility requires close coordination with, and input from, the Consolidated Equipment Management Team (CEMT) Redistribution Planner, CEMT Inventory Manager, CEMT Asset Life Cycle Manager and CEMT Materials Control Manager.


Essential Functions:

  • Compile and recommend material requisitions necessary to satisfy any shortfalls of inventory within the CSP network that are not able to be satisfied through (or not economically justified by) the redistribution of assets within the CSP network

  • Incorporate critical inputs from various sources, established business rules and variables to determine a comprehensive and economical demand plan solution for asset replenishment.

  • Translate available funds, as advised by the CEMT Materials Control Manager, into an optimized mix of asset requisitions that will best satisfy the most immediate inventory requirements within the CSP network

  • Create and maintain all open inbound ASNs within the New Breed Order Manager System in line with open inbound assets

  • Reconcile all new asset receipts for all individual sites against expected due in assets from the known USMC source of supply. 

  • Maintains current and accurate records of all new asset receipts and reports these receipts through the established chain of command

  

 

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years experience in a demand planning and/or purchasing environment using a suite of demand planning and warehouse management systems

  • Experience with assets that are Lot Controlled, have Life Cycle criteria and that have Shelf Life parameters

  • Strong analytical thinker with the ability to dissect, communicate and resolve complex issues related to demand planning, procurement and materials management

  • Good comprehension and understanding of statistical data analysis and data mining

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with confidence to present ideas and/or presentations to any level within the New Breed organization, the CSP Program Office or the USMC as necessary

  • Prior military supply chain / logistics experience helpful

  • Good competence in all MS Office suite applications and tools

  • Associates Degree desired or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required
