The Masonicare Health Center, an affiliate of Masonicare, has been in operation for over a century. Masonicare is the largest not-for-profit senior focused healthcare provider in the State of Connecticut. The Masonicare Health Center is located in Wallingford, central to the state and easily accessible off major highways.

Masonicare currently has a need for a Full Time PTA!  Part time and per diem candidates will also be considered.

Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist Manager or staff physical therapist , a PTA implements specific treatment programs for resident/patients in a variety of settings including LTC, acute care and outpatient.  Directs resident/patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce and enhance performance; facilitates the learning of those skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity.  Understands the mission of the organization and the department by recognizing the elderly we serve as unique persons requiring individual alternatives to maintain full lives in their later years by providing medical, spiritual and emotional care, encompassing quality, dignity, compassion and confidentiality for each individual.
