DSI Mining & Tunneling North America is seeking an Executive General Manager to work within the operations department out of Martinsburg, WV. The successful candidate will report to RCOO Mining and Tunneling.

DSI Mining & Tunneling North America is a division of DYWIDAG-Systems International headquartered in Munich, Germany. DSI produces and supplies high quality products for mining and construction applications around the world.

Primary responsibilities include developing and executing policy standards in areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and plants' performance measures by directing and coordinating activities of multiple departments including engineering, operations and sales to ensure corporate goals and objectives are achieved.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business, direct sales and marketing activities to optimize performance with customers, must be familiar with all customer contracts including terms and billing procedures, direct policy deployment in areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and employee relations.
• The qualified candidate will establish metrics and ensure compliance with cost control, waste reduction, gross margin improvement, complete and on-time delivery and labor costs.
• Implement process improvements at all levels.
• Oversee introduction of new products into work stream.
• Provide leadership to employees through effective communications, mentoring, training and development.
• Motivate productivity throughout organization.
• Ensure proper and qualified staffing to support company's needs while meeting budget requirements.
• Develop and present yearly business plan including financial statements and budgeting plan to corporate executives.
• Compile and communicate monthly manufacturing performance in report form to senior management.
• Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
• Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
• Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

• Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Finance or Business Management preferred).

• Must have minimum of five years of senior-management experience.

• Knowledge with mining or tunneling products. Strong financial management knowledge.

• Extensive experience with Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.

• Strong problem analysis and problem resolution skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Hands-on management style.

• High performance team leader and a strong team player.
