.NET Jr Level Developer

Passport Health Communications, Inc., a nationally recognized pioneer developing innovative solutions for the healthcare industry and one of Healthcare Informatics Top 100 Healthcare Companies, is seeking a .NET Software Developer for web-scraping of healthcare data.

Within the Patient Access Verification (PAV) Business Unit is a team exclusively focused on providing additional content beyond what Passport can obtain through standard EDI channels.  This development position will be responsible for building and maintaining applications that scrape web pages for content, including data analysis, designing strategies to minimize custom coding and building administrative tools that efficiently manage the operation.

The ideal candidate for this position has the ability to not only technically obtain the data from the web pages but can apply it to our existing data to deliver value added content for our customers.

Job Duties:

• Build custom scripts to capture data contained within a data source’s web sites
• Develop techniques for minimizing custom code and detecting web page changes
• Build tools to monitor operations of scripting applications and proactively detect anomalies
• Create test plans and QA strategies to insure accurate information is being delivered.
• Communicate with internal/external customers during analysis and development phase
• Work within existing application architecture to deliver solutions
• Own development projects and be capable of taking them from design to general availability.
• Work with existing application development teams to deliver content in manners that meet their needs.
• Other Duties as Required.

Requirements:

• Four year degree in Computer Science
• Previous experience with Healthcare transactions (ANSI x12) and data.
• Coding experience in a Microsoft environment specifically utilizing VB 6.0, VB.Net, ASP, ASP.Net
• Working experience utilizing SQL Server
• Strong background in HTML
• Experience working with XML
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to manage changing priorities
