Description Vice President of Distribution
Uline, a leading international distributor of packaging & industrial supplies, seeks a Vice President of Distribution for their Corporate Office in Waukegan, Illinois (south of Milwaukee, Wisconsin).

Corporate Office is moving to Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin (Kenosha County) - Spring, 2010.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES / REQUIREMENTS:

Works with Branch and Distribution Managers to improve distribution capabilities and excellence in efficiency, cost and customer satisfaction

Directs the overall safety initiatives and engineering functions

Evaluates interdisciplinary distribution projects including productivity, inventory, manpower and workflows

Assesses warehouse management technologies to drive operating effectiveness & efficiency in Distribution Centers

Responsible for the procurement of distribution center’s equipment

Coordinates growth and expansion strategies among multi-departmental levels in support of corporate growth objectives

Proven record of effective distribution management with leading grocery, catalog or retail enterprises that operate in high volume environment required

Pick/pack experience in a multi-building/site operations setting preferred

Prior experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (Implementation a plus)

10+ years experience, with supervisory experience

Bachelor's degree required
