Job Description

Job Summary:

 

This position manages the sales and operational performance and activity of all the  Route Sales Representatives (RSR) within the district.  The major responsibility of this position is to coach, mentor , and guide the Lance sales force to perform to company set standards and sales goals.

 

Essential Job Duties

·         Conduct dock to dock Work-Withs on route truck with RSR

·         Provide specialized coaching and development to assist route sales representatives in achieving all key performance and sales goals

·         Coach, direct and motivate sales organization to meet sales plan, reduce costs, and deliver key company initiatives.

·         Develop market to increase route averages and consistently meet or exceed sales goals

·         Conduct stockroom and truck inspections during each work with

·         Recap performance and planning with each RSR via a weekly one-with-one discussion.

·         Communicate sales plan to RSR as directed by Zone Sales Leader

·         Monitor and manage achievements and conflict and provide feedback to RSRs through performance management functions, including coaching, counseling and evaluations in accordance with Lance Policies and Procedures

·         Plan and prioritize work schedule to achieve sales and performance goals

·         Plan, pre-sell, and execute store level promotions

·         Complete a stock audit for all routes within workgroup every 90 days

·         Communicate and work with Zone Sales Leader on a regular basis

·         May perform other duties as required.

 

Scope of Responsibility

·         Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.

·         Reports to the Zone Sales Leader. 

 

 

Supervisory Responsibility     

·         Manages the sales and operational performance and activity of approximately 10-12 Route Sales Representatives.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
