Bridges of America is looking for an ON CALL (as needed)
Food Service Technician for our Auburndale, Florida facility.
Bridges of America has a long and successful history of trustworthy service to the State of Florida. There has been a sound, mutually-rewarding working relationship between the Bridge rehabilitation programs and the Florida Department of Corrections since 1976.
Bridges of America offers a number of services including, but not limited to, drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation, Transitional Living and Work Release.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (partial listing):
1. Responsible for the preparation of food and serving clients three meals per day and/or bag lunch.
2. Monitors the serving of meals by clients.
3. Ensures that safety and cleanliness procedures are followed. Cleanliness includes utensils, equipment, preparation areas, refrigerators, storage areas, etc.
4. Follows the prescribed menu plan for daily meals and snacks and provides special dietary requirements.
5. Advises supervisor of supplies needed.
6. Displays respect and professional manner to coworkers and clients, on a consistent basis.
7. Maintains necessary food server certification.
8. Ensures completion of all required documentation.
9. Ensures that kitchen Maintenance Plan is followed and documented as required.
10. Picks up donated food or food supplies as required by Supervisor.
Requirements
EXPERIENCE: One year experience in institutional food service.
EDUCATION: Must be a certified food handler or acquire within 90 day probationary period.
High School Diploma/GED. Must be certified for food handling.
PHYSICAL: Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 30lbs.
