Agency Support Representative

The enthusiastic Agency Support Representative will provide excellent customer service to prospective and existing policyholders of a specialty insurance agency by handling the following:

• Take incoming customer service phone calls, requests, and maintain change requests
• Follow up with customers who have not sent required information
• Follow up on renewals pending
• Follow up with customer service on endorsements
• Identify opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell existing customers
• Generate quotes on behalf of agents
• Maintain customer files in Agency Management System
• Open incoming mail
• Assist with direct mailers and newsletters
• Maintain supply of all forms, form letters and office supplies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications we are looking for:

• High school graduate, GED or equivalent.
• Ohio Property & Casualty Insurance license required.
• Previous related experience required.
• Must be able to work from 9:00am to 6:00pm or 10:00am to 7:00pm.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Knowledge of Boats and RV’s is a plus.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret insurance contracts, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. 
• Ability to write routine reports and business correspondence. 
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and management. 
• Good telephone skills are required.
• PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheets and database utilization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-to two-step instructions. 
• Ability to deal with standardized situations.
