Job Description

DO YOU DELIVER WORLD CLASS CUSTOMER SERVICE? Are you organized, a team player, good with numbers, and able to communicate effectively?

Value City Furniture, one of the nation’s leading and fastest growing exclusive furniture retailers is adding to our already outstanding staff with a few top performers who will assist us with our continuing growth. We are currently seeking a Part Time Office Associate to work nights 3-9pm and Weekends.

The Office Associate will process sales related paperwork, accept payments, assist customers with scheduling deliveries and pickups and maintain communication with delivery truck personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete paperwork for customer sales
  • Using sales worksheet, inputs data into computer and create invoice
  • Verify all customer information as you input data into the computer
  • Verify delivery directions and make changes as necessary
  • Explain “Balance Due" and discuss customer's payment options
  • Accept and process payments and credit applications
  • Explain pick-up and delivery options
  • Credit card and cash handling
  • Process finance applications
  • Create finance invoices
  • Report finance application status to customers
  • Daily cash reconciliation
  • Print cash application listing
  • Count out drawer at shift's end
  • Verify daily transactions against daily reconciliation report
  • Create service calls as needed
  • Order service parts for customers as needed
  • Ship pick-lists as necessary
  • Reconcile delivery trucks as needed
  • Answer phones by third ring
  • Call customers for out of stock merchandise
  • Maintains accurate and timely stop confirmation information
  • Logs cancellations and reschedules
  • Logs delivery problems
  • Process customer pick-ups
  • Collect CODs
  • Print pick-ups
  • Ship merchandise
  • Assist CSS with past due pick-up managemen
  • Print past due pick-up report
  • Check for remaining outstanding pick-ups from previous day
  • Reschedule outstanding pick-ups
  • Route sheet maintenance
  • Add delivery windows
  • Place pick-up and delivery verification calls
  • Place phone calls
  • Enter appropriate confirmation codes
  • Perform truck check in procedures
  • Print MRLs (Merchandise Return Logs) and labels
  • Perform route sheet reconciliation
  • General office duties (including but not limited to): light filing, answering telephones in a prompt and courteous manner, etc.
  • Other duties may be assigned or required

        Nights 3-9PM
        Weekends
