Job Description

  • Help identify and implement improvements to augment IT efficiencies and consistencies
  • Adhere to standard development and testing processes
  • Work with existing consulting resources to transition functional and technical knowledge of the new Policy Administration system (New Affirmative Insurance System)
  • Perform root cause analysis on Policy Administration System (POS/PA) issues
  • Assist with Production Support defects, product rate changes and enhancements for the new POS/PA System
  • Work with BAs and Business to understand requirements functional design for POS/PA enhancements
  • Design, Build and Test POS/PA enhancements
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing
  • Assist with support of system conversions from the legacy systems to the new POS/PA system
  • Work with Project Managers to deliver POS/PA defects and enhancements to production on time with a high level of quality
  • Identify, monitor and track key IT metrics
  • Report weekly status to development lead or application manager


Job Requirements

Tech Skills

  • Must have an in-depth knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL
  • Proficient in programming in a modern language such as C, Java or other comparable language
  • Experience with a web-scripting language such as PHP, ASP, JSP, etc.
  • Proficiency in CSS, JavaScript, and DHTML is a plus
  • Knowledge of PHP, .NET, JAVA, HTML, C++, ORACLE, SQL Server
  • Software development lifecycle experience (Requirements, Design, Build, Test, Deployment)

 

Other

  • B.S. Computer Science/Mathematics or related
  • Intelligent, with excellent problem solving skills
  • Highly motivated, willing to tackle a wide range of projects
  • Eager to build skills & learn from our highly experienced team members
