Position: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Work Location: Flanders, NJ

job Requirements

The ideal candidate will responsible for the following:


  • Seeking BSME with 10 + years related experience or MSME with 7+ years related experience.

  • Demonstrated experince in design and manufacturing in a new product development environment

  • Experience in Project Leadership and Management of technical product development

  • Able to determine acceptable tolerance levels for each fabricaiton process

  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required with the ability to discuss or explain design features or issues with all level engineers, designers and drafters

  • Ability to identify issues dealing with conflicting designs, unsuitability of conventional materials

  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, team orientated, and exceptionally attentive to detail

  • Develops very complex material specification, schematic preparation and follow-up to ensure proper and effective implementation.

  • Develops very complex design, development, testing and modifications of solutions.

  • Guides explanations and clarifies information to enable proper interpretation and evaluation of very complex specifications, performance characteristics or other technical data.

  • Guides communication of very complex technical and commercial issues.

  • Develops recommendations for very complex new designs, new processes, or design changes to meet requirements.

  • Performs advanced areas of work for the professional field.

    Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently.

  • Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional problems.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:


  • Candidate must have 7-10 years of electrical or systems design engineering experience
  • Proficient in Solidworks or Pro-E design skills
  • BS/BA in related discipline or advanced degree
  • Strong communication skills: candidate will be the liaison between the company’s R&D and Manufacturing departments.
  • New product development experience
  • Experience with medical devices is a plus!
