Electrical Engineer / Project Manager / Construction Manager

 

Our Client is The Industry Leader in Electric Power and Engineering and have asked us to help them identify an Electrical Engineer / Project Manager   / Construction Manager that will lead technical electrical and construction efforts across the organization. 

 

Key contacts within the organization include the Manager of Mechanical Engineering, Manager of Manufacturing, Manager of Construction, Project Managers and Business Development departments.  Key external contacts are customers and senior management within subcontractor organizations.

The selected candidate will have the following responsibilities:

 

  • Manage, direct and develop the electrical engineering department to provide engineering support to project teams and other departments
  • Develop constructive relationships with other company departments and locations, key subcontract organizations and key clients.
  • Provide technical input and direction to Electrical Engineering process to ensure systems are being designed, manufactured and tested
  • Ensure design documents are produced and reviewed in a formal process, as well as test and commissioning documents.
  • Liaise with project managers and assign tasks to engineers. Monitor progress of tasks and report to Project Managers and Vice President of Engineering on progress.
  • Liaise with Project Managers and Business Development department to establish manpower forecasts for the department and if required recruit staff to meet forecast requirements.
  • Manage engineering effort in support of Business Development activities.
  • Monitor professional development of staff and facilitate their development.
 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • BS degree in electrical engineering  or mechanical engineering preferred.
  • At least 2 years of managerial experience directing teams involved with electrical and control system design, development, commercialization, and introduction of power system products such as, generators, etc.
  • Experience with all aspects of constuction application is highly desirable.
