Bonnier is looking for an experienced senior PHP developer to learn Drupal from our technical leads and help create innovative new Web sites for a suite of publishing clients. The position requires exceptional programming skills, problem solving abilities and a strong work ethic

Drupal.org case study). We believe that developers should be part of the creative process from start to finish, and we're looking for an innovative thinker who could quickly come up to speed with Drupal and be part of the team to push forward our Drupal expertise and involvement in the community.

Responsibilities
• Come up to speed quickly with Drupal and work with current development team and editors to build and port up to 20 sites into a Drupal 6 platform.
• Keep abreast of news in the Drupal community and communicate with the Bonnier team when useful new modules and upgrades become available
• Work collaboratively and efficiently in an agile/scrum environment
• Have great problem-solving skills and an independent work ethic
Requirements
Requirements / Qualifications
• 4+ yrs experience with web application development in a LAMP environment (Linux/Unix, Apache, MySQL, PHP) with PHP being the most recent language used.
• Experience developing websites in Drupal 5 or 6 a plus but not required.
• Experience working with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, AJAX and DHTML using jQuery, and
• Solid understanding of LAMP stack architecture
• Understanding of object oriented concepts, design patterns, and various open-source toolkits and frameworks would make you a strong candidate.
• Able to perform in a fast-paced agile environment
• Familiarity with versioning management systems such as SVN and source control / deployment methodology.
• Experience creating, implementing and maintaining ultra-high-traffic web site is strongly preferred.
• Good communication skills are crucial: you will be working closely with editorial teams, so it's great if you can describe technical issues in layman's terms
Desired Software Knowledge:
PHP, Drupal (including Panels), AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, XHTML, XML, MySQL, Linux, SVN/CVS, Apache, SOAP, PHP Web Services, Payment Gateways, knowledge of command line tools (Putty, SSH)
