Description

Firm that specializes in the online auction and private sale of surplus and used energy equipment in the oil & gas, petrochemical and power industries is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Manager.  This firm is located in the Greenway Plaza area of Houston, Texas. 

 

The Inside Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of six Inside Sales Representatives.  This is a growing and dynamic organization and the chosen candidate must be able to adapt to such an environment and confidently communicate their unique Value Proposition.  They are seeking people who possess an excellent work ethic and strive for success both for themselves and their company.

 

Specific Responsibilities & Projects (sample list):

  • Inside Sales Team Management:  Manage the Inside Sales team, currently a team of 6.  Responsible for marketing all material consigned with Network International.  Review all equipment currently consigned for sale, both Auction and Private Sales.  Help organize the priorities and resources needed to effectively and efficiently market the consigned equipment.
  • Develop the Pipe Market:  Build on the existing expertise within Network International and its current customer list in the pipe market (Casing, Tubing, Drill Pipe & Line Pipe).
  • Customer Relationships with Key Buyers:  Help build and develop relationships with all buyers, especially Network's key high volume buying customers. 
  • Build & Research New Markets:  Continue to expand on Network's existing buyer market.  Guide the team in building the buyer base, both geographically and by product category.  Research new equipment markets based on selling customer requests and in anticipation of future business.
  • Leadership within Sales & Marketing:  Work directly with Chief Operating Officer, Director of Marketing and Account Executives (outside sales) in defining Network International’s Sales & Marketing strategy.

Requirements: 

  • 4 – 8 years experience in a self motivating, initiative driven work environment
  • 2+ years experience managing a team
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry; specifically experience in and knowledge of the pipe market
  • Great organizational skills, a strong ability to multi-task and manage many projects simultaneously
  • General sales or customer facing work experience
  • In addition to the characteristics listed above, candidates should have excellent communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and be self-starters with a strong motivation to perform at a high level
  • Undergraduate Degree preferred
  • Strong Proficiency with Microsoft products and experience with CRM database software
  • Interest in working for a small company and willingness to assist in any and all areas of the organization
