Director of Hospice Compliance, Audit & Training
The Director of Hospice Compliance, Audit & Training (hereafter “DHCAT") role will be planning, designing, implementing and maintaining hospice corporate and location-wide compliance, audit and training programs. The role of the “DHCAT" will also be responsible for developing policies and procedures that promote a corporate culture that fosters ethical and compliant behavior as well as provides the basis for ensuring adequate internal controls and compliance with all laws and regulatory requirements applicable to USMM’s Grace Hospice and all of the related hospice divisions, subsidiaries and affiliates.
“DHCAT" serves as an internal authority on relevant laws and regulations related to hospice, keeping abreast of current changes that may affect hospice industry through personal initiative, seminars, training programs and peer contact.
Requirements
- Minimum of a BA or BS
- Knowledgeable about hospice compliance and/or audit
- The preferred candidate will have two years experience as a hospice or homecare compliance officer or similar discipline and possess an advanced degree.
This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as the following additional skills:
- Clear, concise and persuasive writing and presentation skills
- Strong orientation to deadline and detail
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and congenially with employees at diverse levels
- Strong Word Processing, Excel and PC skills
- Capable of motivating personnel
- Decisive and exercises good judgment under pressure
- Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload
