Description Manufacturing Specialist

Apply CAE modeling and simulation tools to metal cutting processes, contributing to process improvement/integrity, report generation, and software systems support and training. Perform process improvement based on modeling analysis and validate in machining test facility. Work with manufacturing customers to analyze processes for purposes of improvement and subsequent implementation. Utilize CAD/CAM technologies (Siemens NX, CATIA, AutoCAD, Pro/ENGINEER and Vericut) for machining process development and modification. Qualified individuals will use physics-based models to analyze and improve machining processes, and conduct experiments to study effects of tooling geometry, workpiece material, and process conditions in metal removal/machining operations.

Requirements Requirements are a BS or MS degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing systems, or closely-related field; CAD/CAM tools (Siemens NX, CATIA, AutoCAD, Pro/ENGINEER, Vericut), CNC programming and machine tool familiarity. Minimum 5 years related work experience required. US citizenship required.
