Job Description

Director of Oncology Care Management and Support Services

 

Job Summary/Purpose:

This position supports the mission of Cancer Treatment Centers of America at Eastern Regional Medical Center by treating patients as a whole person in a compassionate and caring environment.  This position leads the development, implementation and operations of the Care Management functions for the organization.  This position also establishes effective and efficient systems for Care Management across the full continuum of
patient care.

  

Position Specific Responsibilities and Competencies:

  • Establishes and maintains an effective and efficient system for discharge planning and the management of patient’s at home.
  • Promotes the development and maintenance of an effective system for utilization management.
  • Promotes an effective and efficient system for patient scheduling and travel arrangements.
  • Promotes an effective and efficient system for Registration and organizational communication systems.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current Pennsylvania RN Licensure or eligible for immediate PA licensure required.
  • Registered Professional Nurse, Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Masters Degree preferred).
  • Five years Nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.        
  • One year experience in Case Management and/or similar role required.         
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required.
