Job Description 

Director of Hospital Education

 

BWMC is currently seeking a leader in adult education capable of aligning house-wide educational programs with organizational and departmental goals to join our comprehensive medical center. In this role, you will support colleagues and staff throughout the organization, including but not limited to Nursing, ensuring that all staff possess the necessary competency to meet organizational goals. You will provide leadership to hospital educators, clinical experts and department leaders in the assessment, design, development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs. In addition, you will collaborate with executives and other BWMC leaders to develop the hospital’s leaders, facilitate succession planning and career progression and provide job enrichment opportunities. 

 


Job Requirements 

Qualifications:

  • MSN or equivalent 
  • Current Maryland RN license
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership in staff education in an acute care setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of, and experience in, implementing regulatory standards, particularly those related to patient safety and staff competency
  • Computer-based training skills
