Description
The Center for Children and Families at Erikson Institute, is seeking to contract a part-time speech pathologist to join our Medical Diagnostic Evaluation team. The new Center, located in downtown Chicago, offers family-centered medical diagnostic evaluations as part of the Illinois Early Intervention Service System. The Center is currently looking for an experienced, part-time licensed speech pathologist to join our team as soon as possible.
About the Center for children and Families
We provide family-centered assessment and treatment for children birth to age eight. Our superb interdisciplinary team of therapists, psychologists, developmental and behavioral pediatricians, and social workers specializes in addressing a wide range of developmental, social, emotional, and behavioral concerns in infants and young children.
Hours will be: Tuesdays from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, with a possibility of additional time in the future.
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Work as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Complete a speech and language evaluation of child in the context of the family to determine the need for speech and language services and develop appropriate recommendations.
· Complete written evaluations in timely manner

Requirements
· Licensed speech pathologist-required
· Current early intervention speech pathologist credential-required
· Current early intervention speech pathologist/assessment credential-required
· Excellent assessment skills of children birth to age three in the areas of speech and language development
· Substantial experience working with children birth to age three
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Interest in working in a team setting
· Ability to manage steady work flow
