Responsible for planning, directing and implementing strategic recruitment & staffing programs that are in keeping with Jostens corporate objectives and ensure compliance with current legal requirements. Responsible for supervising a staff of professional recruiters and support personnel. Provide leadership in continual improvement of related processes. Works closely with management to ensure timely understanding of current and future workforce needs and implements improvements to staffing processes including sourcing and selection.
- Develop and direct corporate staffing strategies for executive, managerial, professional and sales positions including process design and implementation.
- Develop, implement and coordinate Jostens college recruiting and internship initiatives.
- Develop and manage relations with external partners including, but not limited to, recruiting agencies.
- Provide guidance to Jostens overall staffing activities, processes and procedures and best practices.
- Consult with Jostens senior leadership and managers on recruiting needs/opportunities to ensure incorporation of diverse workforce strategic planning into business and human resource planning.
- Develops and communicates appropriate policies and programs to employees, top management, and public and government agencies.
- Serves as central resource for plant and business unit HR professionals in preparation for audits or processing of complaints.
- Attracts, develops and retains qualified staff within the function.
- Maintains and reports out on people metrics (new employees, promotions, internal transfers, etc.)
