Commercial Sales Coordinator

Essential Responsibilities

  


•Demonstrate a Customer First sales mentality.
•Prospect for potential new Customers using canvassing, cold calls, trade shows, lead generators and other means. Review store Customer records for potential growth or referrals.
•Analyze the market area and identify, prioritize, and regularly update targeted commercial prospects in assigned market(s).
•Participate in and utilize bid systems/processes. Use profitability models to guide pricing.
•Partner with the Store Teams to sell and service these prospects and develop them into regular, active Customers. Assist the Store Teams to gain new accounts not on the priority list.
•Help support the Store Teams to develop selling skills including: prospecting, canvassing, phone selling, face-to-face, needs analysis, negotiation, closing, etc. Provide support and encouragement. 
•Utilize database software to track sales activities and follow-up on "target" prospects.
•Provide performance feedback on quality and delivery standards execution.
•Communicate unavoidable issues with the Customer whenever quality or turn-around times are in jeopardy. 
•Provide Regional Sales Manager with advance itinerary and regular weekly reports on sales activities and results.
•Actively participate in regularly scheduled sales meetings which are used to: (1) Review accounts/ prospects and sales progress, (2) Gain product knowledge, (3) Plan the implementation of promotions, and, (4) Share ideas and successes which will promote the success of all in attendance.
•Gain both product and company knowledge to meet a variety of Customer needs.
•Adhere to company culture, policies and procedures. 
•Watch for loss prevention issues and advise management of any unusual activities.
•Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
•Function as a leader and team player doing whatever is necessary to help attain company goals.

Qualifications


  

•Minimum two-year degree in a business-related field and one year outside sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Must be highly motivated with minimal supervisory direction.
•Must possess and use strong leadership and organizational skills. 
•Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
•Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks and meet deadlines.
•Familiarity with personal computers, preferable familiarity with Microsoft Office. Knowledge of ACT! desirable but not required.
•Ability to communicate concrete and abstract ideas effectively using both oral and written means; read and interpret technical documents such as operations manuals and specifications sheets; and make presentations to groups of employees, franchisees, prospects or Customers.
•Must possess excellent negotiating and closing skills.
•Ability to calculate algebraic expressions, percents, ratios, and measurements.
•Must have valid driver's license, clean driving record, and personal vehicle.
