We currently have an exciting career opportunity available for an entry level Business Banker, located in the Mobile area.
The Business Banker is responsible for the retention and expansion of existing business relationships, the development of new business, making referrals to other bank areas, and the servicing of a variety of retail, consumer and small businesses loans. Identifies client needs and works with customers to offer appropriate bank products and services. Manages basic routine non-complex accounts of minimal dollar size/risk with a variety of retail, consumer and small business loans. Assists Senior Officers with larger and more complicated credits and develops relationships with customers through joint call and customer support activities.
* College degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing or Management or equivalent work experience (Finance or Accounting degree preferred).
* Proven successful sales/business development and relationship management experience.
* At least 2 years banking experience working under the direction of senior level Bankers. Business banking and branch banking experience to include exposure to all facets of the banking office functions, consumer, small business, and other applicable banking office services/products.
* Working knowledge of the loan application and approval process.
* Understanding of regulatory guidelines.
* Formal credit training and basic understanding of credit policy. Able to calculate and understand cash flow analysis and ratio analysis. Ability to analyze financial statements and personal and business tax returns.
* Ability to develop marketing strategies and plans
* Superior analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication as well as presentation skills. Strong consultative skills.
* Customer Focused.
* Ability to effectively manage time and multiple priorities. Independent and self motivated and detail oriented.
