Oil, Gas and Chemicals Services (OGC), a division of SGS; is opening a new location in Port Canaveral, Florida. Anticipated date of opening is January 2010 and we are seeking to fill the following positions immediately. Training will be conducted at our Port Everglades location until we open this location.
-LABORATORY SUPERVISOR who will be responsible for providing supervision to the laboratory testing operation which includes quality control of laboratory solutions and standards. Provide assistance to clients in explaining laboratory analysis and assume responsibility for authenticity for Laboratory Certificates of Analysis.
-CHEMIST who will be responsible for the analysis and reporting of petroleum products; in particular jet fuel and gasoline. Responsible for all laboratory analysis (hands-on working on the bench), operation of Gas
Chromatographic, octane engines and other Laboratory equipment which includes the maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment and maintains the quality records of same.
-OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR who will be responsible for the overall coordination of field operations and supervision of field personnel. Will act as a liaison between Field Supervisors, laboratory staff, and clients by receiving client orders, dispatch work to field staff, follow up on job progress and reports to clients.
-OPERATIONS COORDINATOR who will be responsible for the administered relationship between field supervisors, laboratory staff and clients. Will assist in the receipt of client orders, dispatching and follow up of orders.
-PETROLEUM INSPECTOR(S) who will be responsible for taking measurements and samples from vessels tanks on board ships, barges or on shore. Calculating & reporting quantities transferred and perform full reconciliation of same. Must have flexible schedule, willing to work 24/7, on call. Must have reliable insured vehicle, as well as a valid / clean driver’s license. Gas allowance provided.
