Ground floor opportunity with the new Miami Tunnel project !

We are assembling the team of technical experts for a once in a lifetime project opportunity to build the Port of Miami Tunnel project!  This $610 million massive civil works project is to be built under Government Cut linking MacArthur Causeway at Watson Island and the Port of Miami.  It is a prestigious, highly visible and complex project spanning 55 months of design, permitting and construction.  This project is the first of its kind in the US of this magnitude and will be led by Bouygues Civil Works (BCW,  a division of Bouygues Travaux Publics, the French construction giant.

Risk Manager:

  •  15 years experience in heavy civil work projects, such as tunnels, roads, bridges, mining, etc.

  • Civil Engineering degree
  • Project management experience in the US
  • Knowledge and practice of GAO cost estimating and assessment guide
  • Experience working with Pertmaster and risk software
  • Experience with 3 point modeling of schedule and cost risk
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of risk management tools and techniques (e.g. knowledge of DOD or NASA project management process)

 

 

 

Requirements

Senior Project Scheduler:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience scheduling  for heavy civil work projects, such as tunnels, roads, bridges,  mining, etc.
  • Completely proficient with Primavera 3 
  • Management experience
  • Understand float management
  • Must be able to schedule civil work plans from study of plans based on past experience
  • Ability to resequence work
  • Ability to protect Contractor’s float and defend schedule to outside agencies
  • Excellent written skills to provide written month reports to internal departments and multiple outside agencies
  • Claim experience preferred

 
QC Manager:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience as a Quality Control Manager  for heavy civil work projects, such as tunnels, roads, bridges,  mining, etc  
  • Understand checks and balances, production flows, causes of non-performance
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Ability to determine required tests for QC program
  • Experience in establishing lab testing procedures
  • Management experience – to manage a staff of 6 or a sub-contractor

 

Health & Safety Manager:

  • Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years experience as a Health & Safety Manager  for heavy civil work projects, such as tunnels, roads, bridges,  mining, etc  
  • Experience establishing, creating and implementing a safety plan
  • Certifications to teach safety for large civil projects
  • Fluency with CCIP, FDOT and OSHA regulations

 

CAD Technicians:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience as a CAD Technician for heavy  civil work projects, such as tunnels, roads, bridges, mining, etc.
  • Experience using AutoCad version 2007 or 2009
  • Experience with 2D and 3D drawing
  • Experience with structural steel
  • Experience with formwork design
  • Experience with reinforced concrete
  • Experience with temporary structures
  • Experience preparing design packages

 

Methods Engineer:

  • 5-10 years experience ,working in heavy civil projects, such as tunnels, roads, bridges, mining, etc
  • Experience developing means and methods for the civil Contractor,  including design of formwork, specific tools, temporary structures, etc
  • Experience preparing general methods statement and work procedure for Contractor
  • Experience preparing tendering documents for procurement of formwork, specific tools, temporary structures, etc
  • Must have a Civil Works Engineering degree
  • Civil works and structural steel design background
  • Good understanding of civil construction

 

Civil Design Engineer:

  • Minimum of  5 years experience working in heavy civil projects, such as tunnels, roads, bridges, mining, etc
  • Experience managing a design consultant in regards to all civil works design activities, including program, design checks, etc
  • Experience interfacing with Contractor’s methods team to develop design in accordance with Contractor means and methods
  • Experience preparing, reviewing and managing Request for Information, Field change request and Non Conformance reports for field activities
  • Experience managing an external consultant
  • Civil works engineering degree

 

Mechanical Supervisor:

  • 5-10 years experience working in heavy civil projects, such as tunnels, roads, bridges, mining, Experience managing a design  consultant in regards to mechanical design activities, including program, design checks, etc
  • Experience checking the functional operation of the Mechanical systems proposed by consultants
  • Experience organizing and managing  permits activities related to the project
  • Experience preparing tendering packages for Mechanical and Hydraulic systems
  • Experience managing a team of technicians
  • Candidate must have additional experience with the following:
    • Ventilation system
    • HVAC for technical rooms and buildings
    • Hydrant & Mist system
    • Drainage and dewatering system
    • Flood gates mechanism
    • Tunnel fire doors
    • Functional and safety analysis
    • Testing & commissioning
  • Mechanical Engineering degree

 

Electrical Supervisor:

  • 5-10 years experience working in heavy civil projects, such as tunnels, roads, bridges, mining,
  • Must have experience participating and helping on the electrical design of the project
  • Experience organizing and managing permits activities related to the operation of projects
  • Experience preparing tendering packages for Electrical systems, such as drawings, specifications, etc
  • Experience managing an external consultant
  • Experience managing a team of technicians
  • Candidate must have  additional experience with the following:
    • Medium voltage and low voltage distribution system, including Motor Control Centre and lightning protection
    • Lighting system
    • Supervisory control and Data Acquisition system (SCADA)
    • Communication System, such as optical fibber, radio com, etc
    • CCTV system
    • Public Address System
    • Fire detection System
    • Intelligent Traffic System (ITS)
    • Functional and Safety Analysis
    • Testing and commissioning
  • Electrical engineering degree

 

Mechanical & Electrical Design Coordinator:

  • 5-10 years experience working in heavy civil projects, such as tunnels, roads, bridges, mining,
  • Experience managing a design  consultant regarding all M&E design activities, including program, design checks, etc
  • Experience checking the functional operation of the M&E systems proposed by the consultant, according to the operator requirements
  • Experience organizing and managing safety studies and permits activities related to the operation of the project
  • Experience preparing packages for M&E systems, such as drawings, specifications, etc
  • Management experience Candidate must have the additional experience with the following:
    • Electrical power system, power distribution and lighting
    • Ventilation system
    • Hydrant & Mist system
    • Flood gates mechanism
    • Intelligent traffic systems (ITS), SCADA, Video system, fire detection system
    • Functional analysis
    • Safety Analysis
    • Testing & Commissionning
  • M&E Engineering degree

 

Document Controller:

  • 2-3 years data entry and administrative experience
  • Experience with an electronic document control database or system
  • Experience conferring with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and facilitate compilation of required document control changes to documents
  • Experience managing  the compilation and maintenance of records and related files to issue drawings and engineering/construction documents to various departments
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and construction engineering related document control experience
  • Excellent oral and written English; French and Spanish of added value

 

Document Control Clerk:

  • 1-2 years data entry and administrative experience 
  • Knowledge of scanners and associated software
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and construction/engineering related document control software
  • French and Spanish are of added value
